The plans will create more funds for investment in local communities and for building new homes.
 

We'll focus our services on a more concentrated geographic area covering nine local authorities in the West of England and Somerset. We'll also re-shape services and build a new state of the art office in Weston-super-Mare to replace six existing offices.
 

Talks are in progress with other housing associations with a view to swapping housing stock. The plans will see us transfer our housing stock in Wiltshire and Swindon to another association by April 2012 and houses in Dorset and Hampshire by April 2013.
 

At the moment Knightstone Housing Association owns and manages 11,000 homes across 37 local authorities. Within three years we expect to be managing over 10,000 homes in the nine West of England and Somerset local authority areas.
 

By acting now and making these changes in a planned way over the next two years we will make sure we’re able to continue building and sustaining strong communities and doing what matters most to our residents.
